Fitbit App Updated
On Wednesday Fitbit updated their iOS app. What’s been added/altered?
1. New run & exercise tracking features
MobileRun is able to track your pace, distance, split times, route and more, all in real time.
2. Save frequent exercises
Save frequently repeated aerobic and strength-training workouts and log them directly from the app.
3. New dashboard sections
An added area that notes your exercise patterns, runs and overtime. Plus there is now a calendar that tracks how regularly you exercise and breaks it all down into graphs and charts.
4. Now able to use data from other apps
Now you can pull data from other Fitbit compatible apps, like MyFitnessPal and incorporate your statistics into your activity log.
5. Updated meal tracker
There’s now a barcode scanner and an expanded database. You can add food items to your log and get personalised calories estimates.
6. Improved MobileTrack
This feature was added back in January. It utilises the M7 coprocessor in the iphone 5s to log simple exercise e.g. steps taken.
Note: The latest version of the Fitbit app is available in Apples App store now, the android version has not been updated yet and it is not available for Google play.
